With babies traveling with you in your car, there’s nothing more important to you then their safety. Car seats make the most part of it.While there are ample of products in the market in this category, it is intelligent to find out which one’s are better before buying them.

Graco My Ride 65 LX Vs DLX

Graco My Ride 65 LX and DLX are two popular products in this category. Both these My Ride 65 products satisfy all the US safety requirements. They have been successfully tested for side impact and are also crash tested. These seats come with EPS energy absorbing foam for better impact energy dissipation. These have been tested to withstand extreme temperature changes. These are also built keeping in mind comfort for the babies with features like cup holders.

While the LX & DLX models are both made by the same company, there are still a couple of things they differ in. To begin, the DLX is slightly expensive as compared to the LX.The DLX costs approx. $150 while the LX costs around $120, with these ones already being a little expensive than others. The specifications for LX are (26×20.8×27) (HxWxD) and for DLX are (21.2×20.1×32). The seat’s height in LX is more than the DLX. This makes it better for faster growing kids to be accommodated. The DLX seat is wider than that of LX. Now although this makes it comfortable for the kid, placing three such seats in the backside could become slightly difficult, especially for smaller cars. DLX comes with greater depth than LX, This is good in terms of better neck support and added safety, but is a bane when used in rare facing position. With that the DLX models are also slightly heavier, making it’s usage difficult due to the bulk. The DLX models are difficult to unbuckle. A bit modified buckles would’ve been better. The straps & harness tightening job can actually get you frustrated at times.
