Evenflo Tribute LX Vs DLX

Making choices in life can be difficult. With so many choices, we always need to be well informed to make the final decisions. When choosing convertible child car seats, there are a lot of things to consider – elegance, comfort, and on top of all – safety. Today we are going to compare Evenflo Tribute LX vs DLX for you, so you can make the right choice for you and for your baby.

Evenflo Tribute LX Vs DLX

Both car seats are made by Evenflo in the USA, and at first glance they have a lot of similarities: both car seats are 17” x 18” x 25”, and both weigh 11.6 lbs. Both are designed to support a weight of an infant from 5 lbs minimum to 40 lbs maximum. Both are convertible, which means when your baby is young, you can have the seat rear-facing, but when he or she grows older, you can convert both seats to a forward-facing seat just as easily. In terms of safety, both seats are FAA approved for use in airplanes, and has passed all the NHTSA crash tests. In terms of price, they both come at around 60$ in Amazon and Toys”R”Us, so they offer a very good value for your money – they are very good child car seats at a very low price.

So what are the differences? Not much, actually. Both are pretty much the same models as most specifications go. However, the DLX (which stands for deluxe) is a bit more comfortable, having more boosters for support of head, shoulders, body etc., and better use of “memory foam” in the padding, so the chair can grow with your baby. The DLX also has different fabric, which to be honest looks better than the fabric used in the LX. The This is why the DLX can some times cost more at different stores.

In conclusion, both models are great for compact cars and small seats. Both are lightweight, reasonably priced but are still completely safe and secure for your baby. In comparing between both I’d have to call a draw. Yes, the DLX is slightly better, but I would still attribute the final choice to taste alone – just go to the store and see which one feels more “right” to you, as you can’t really go wrong with either of these models.
