Many people would prefer to use a lightweight stroller, as long as it works satisfyingly. A lightweight stroller is very convenient to use. It allows for much easier handling. It is also easy to store and to bring along in travel. Chicco has produced several awesome stroller models for this specific need. Two that may have captured your attention are Chicco Capri and Chicco Liteway. Both are classified as lightweight strollers by the manufacturer. However, since Liteway is being priced more expensively than Capri, you are perhaps wondering what the differences are between the two. Well, let’s find out below!
Functionality
Chicco Capri and Chicco Liteway are quite different from each other in terms of functionality. Chicco Capri is a rather straightforward stroller for children starting from age 6 months and older. So, Chicco Capri is not suitable for newborn babies. It is indeed quite noticeably lighter than Chicco Liteway, since it barely weighs 12 lbs only, but it can only accommodate children up to 37 lbs. On the other hand, Chicco Liteway has been designed with a newborn enclosure, which allows you to use the stroller in a fully reclining position to hold a newborn baby. Chicco Liteway is suitable for children right from the birth up to 40 lbs. So, as you can see, Chicco Liteway also has a slightly longer usability than Chicco Capri. Chicco Liteway weighs about 17 lbs.

The Child’s Seat
Now, let us observe the seating area of each model. Both models have reclining multi-position seats, but Chicco Capri only has two seating positions. Chicco Liteway offers a more comprehensive flexibility with five seating positions, including the full recline for babies under 6 months of age. As the effect, you can easily adapt Chicco Liteway to provide the most comfort for your growing child.
Furthermore, Chicco Liteway is also coming with a two-position leg rest. The feature is very useful to provide additional support for your child as they sit in the stroller. Conveniently, you can also adjust the position of the leg rest according to your child’s physicality. Chicco Capri does not have this feature.
Parent’s Convenience
Last but not least, Chicco Liteway has been equipped with a parent cupholder. You can put your water bottle or your child’s milk bottle there to be easily reached as you stroll. Unfortunately, neither model has an adjustable handle bar. The height of the handlebar of Liteway is 39”, only slightly taller than Capri’s 38.5”.
