The BumGenius 4.0 was made as a replacement to the 3.0 and offers a few improvements and changes. The 4.0 is a slightly bigger diaper than the 3.0 was and has a slightly higher rise meaning it will fit larger babies better and that the chances of a a leak occurring are reduced. Another great and practical improvement of the 4.0 is that the internal material is a lot smoother than the 3.0, meaning it is a lot easier to clean those poo bums!
The 4.0 is also a lot more stretchy than the 3.0 was, again making for a snug fit and reducing the chances of a leak. The BumGenius 4.0 has two options, velcro fasteners or the snap close system – great news for the mommies who were having problems with the velcro of the 3.0 (they were going bad after some time of use). So the only way you might get your hands on the older 3.0’s today is to buy them second hand. And considering there are no real benefits of using the 3.0 over the 4.0, we recommend just going out and purchasing new 4.0’s.
