IQAir is perhaps one of the top tiers in terms of a high-quality air purifier. Certainly, it works very well, with superb efficiency minus the noise. It is regarded as the best choice for people having some medical conditions. Even, it is the product that the U.S. government used to accommodate their athletes during 2008’s Olympics. Unfortunately, its ultra high price makes potential buyers reconsider their budget plans. Some of them are attracted with Austin Air – more wallet-friendly, yet seemingly as powerful for maintaining a healthy air environment. So… should you stay aiming for IQAir, or step back a little by getting Austin Air instead?
All models of IQAir are more expensive than Austin Air. However, they both already use True HEPA Filters, which is capable of eliminating 99.97% particles with 0.3 microns in size, also 95% particles smaller than that. They both are also equipped with an active carbon filter to combat odors. IQAir makes up to its price due to having more sophisticated features, like the 3D Ultra Seal that significantly increases eficiency as it prevents the leakage of gasses. Its specially engineered fans generate more circulation, but surprisingly works so much quieter. If you compare IQAir and Austin Air side by side, you can obviously see the noise difference.
Less noise means more comfort and convenience. You can concentrate and hear better. Besides that, IQAir is able to cover a larger area than Austin Air (900 ft. compared to 700ft.). However, those numbers have no meaning if you are going to use the device in a regular-sized room. By the way, design-wise, Austin Air is a lot smaller and lighter than IQAir. If you have small space available, most probably Austin Air will not make your place as cramped.

Conclusion
In general, all the additional features in IQAir are luxurious. Though lacking those extras, the basics can be covered more than sufficiently by Austin Air already. Therefore, if you want to be calculated, go with Austin Air. IQAir is only if you have some more money free to spend.
